About us

Does the world need another web comic? No, of course not.

But the people who build applications certainly deserve one. So we decided to make one that looks at the ridiculous, slightly tragic, head banging, bleary eyed, often mundane, and very human side of building modern applications.

Oh….and expect lots of exaggerated despair ( our illustrator is strangely amazing at this 🙂 ) Enjoy life at Square Zero.

About the artist

Valentin Galmand is a freelance illustrator and designer, based out of Bordeaux, France.

Originally inspired by the visual styles of graffiti and tattoos, Valentin moved into being a front-end developer and designer for a number of agencies and start-ups. Valentin then made the jump to freelance, which is where we find him today….drawing the horrified, frantic, despair ridden and enthusiastic faces of Square Zero, amongst other commissions.
